Twitter is a “real-time information network” that allows people to connect with others that they find interesting. For example, business owners like you can quickly share information with people who are interested in what you have to offer and you can begin to build relationships with potential customers.
If you’re not using Twitter to help grow your company, there’s no better time to start than now!
Twitter Plugins
When you tweet your messages for the world to see, the messages are normally confined to Twitter’s own website and are viewed by those who have subscribed to receive them. As an extra bonus, Twitter also offers a plugin which allows you to install a widget on your own website to display tweets.
To set up your own website widget after you’ve signed up for an account, head on over to Twitter’s Widgets page. Here you’ll be provided the option between adding a widget to My Website and adding a widget to Facebook.
Click on “My Website” and you’ll be provided with a list of different widgets available to you. This blog post will walk you through how to add a Profile Widget to your website. Click on the “Profile Widget” link to go to the profile widget page.
Customizing Your Widget
The “Customize Your Profile Widget” page allows you to do just that – customize your widget. You’ll be able to change the size, color, and other attributes of the widget to make it look more like your website, allowing it to fit right in. Use the navigation on the left side of the screen to see what options are available to you.
Grab the Code
The next step is to get the code you’ll use to put the widget on your own website. When you’re satisfied with the way your widget looks, click on the “Finish & Grab Code” button at the bottom.
Click within the textbox (the blue thing in the image above) to select all the code. Copy it by pressing Ctrl + C on your keyboard or by going to Edit > Copy in your web browser. Then paste the code into the page you’d like it to be displayed on.
If you’re using CityMax.com‘s Easy Editor, pictured below, click on the “Source” button to switch to code view.
In HTML view, paste your code (Ctrl + V or by clicking on Edit > Paste in your web browser) and it should look something like the following image:
Simply click on the “Save” button, sit back, and enjoy your results!

I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d love to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an email if interested. Cheers!

I’m curious to find out what blog system you have been working with? I’m experiencing some minor security problems with my latest blog and I would like to find something more safeguarded. Do you have any solutions?
